Consulting Service Specialist

Responsible for complete administration of combo plan designs DB & DC including reporting, compliance testing and 5500 preparation. Keeps informed of new developments, policies, and legislation concerning qualified retirement Plans in order to
proactively advise assigned Plan Sponsors.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience in qualified plan compliance or plan administration services or equivalent combination of education
and experience.
- Experience with DB or ESOP administration is preferred.
- ASPPA QKA or similar industry credential(s) preferred.
Tasks Performed:
- Own administration of assigned DB/CB, ESOP, and other DC
retirement plans, ensuring compliance with plan provisions (including paired/combined plans) and applicable pension laws. Monitor and communicate plan cash activity, participant data changes, recordkeeping, and census data. Review trust statements and
required data for actuarial valuations. Prepare annual allocation reports and participant statements for paired DC plans. Review and deliver actuarial valuation reports, disclosures, testing results, and participant statements to Plan
Sponsors.
- Assist with preparation of and/or review annual compliance testing result packages to be delivered to clients/sponsors.
- Prepare and/or review annual government reporting including Form 5500, appropriate
Schedules, Form 8955-SSA or Form 5558. Track and verify need for Form 1099R with Paying Agent/Vendor Partners. Deliver and track PBGC Premium Filings and provide support with completion of filings of all types. Monitor plans for RMD and
other required activities and funding deadlines.
- Provide exceptional customer service for the book of Defined Benefit, ESOP and Combo Plan assigned through proactive communications with financial institutions, Advisors, and/or Plan
Sponsors.
