Implementation Specialist

We are looking for a full-time Implementation Specialist either fully remote within the US or on-site in our Shrewsbury, New Jersey headquarters.

The Implementation Specialist is pertinent to the success of NPPG. This employee is responsible for onboarding new employer‑sponsored retirement plans and ensuring a smooth, compliant transition from plan design to operational launch. This role serves as the primary coordinator between plan sponsors, advisors, recordkeepers, and internal teams to implement qualified retirement plans accurately, timely, and in accordance with IRS and ERISA requirements while delivering a positive client experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtain and process retirement plan paperwork for new client set up by established deadlines
  • Enter data using NPPG’s CRM and plan administration system
  • Conduct implementation calls with plan sponsors, advisors, and payroll providers
  • Coordinate asset transfers, rollovers, and trust establishment with recordkeepers and custodians
  • Transition the plan to ongoing administration with complete handoff documentation
  • Perform web-based and proprietary system administration
  • Provide exemplary service to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving problems promptly
  • Coordinate new account set up with advisors and providers
  • Create, update, and submit reports and management logs
  • Address and resolve prospect and financial advisor inquiries
  • Collaborate with internal teams and outside vendors
  • Participate in special projects

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years of retirement plans, plan implementation or recordkeeping experience with a third-party retirement plan administrator (TPA) or recordkeeper or 3 years experience in financial services
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Excel
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulation
  • Experience with MEPs/PEPs
  • Experience with different recordkeeping platforms
  • Experience with Relius Administration and Relius Documents or similar software
  • ASPPA, NIPA and/or ERPA credentials
  • Bachelor's degree
