We’re looking for motivated, personable staff to join our growing team and assist us in administering a variety of retirement plans.  Pattison Pension has been a locally-owned and locally-managed fixture in Albuquerque retirement planning for over 35 years, supporting a wide variety of businesses in New Mexico and out-of-state with the highest level of customer service.

This job involves performing annual accounting, reporting, and compliance functions for plans; acting as the point of contact for all external stakeholders; and working with a team to ensure all work assigned can be timely completed.

Experience in accounting and/or with retirement plans is preferred but not required.  We provide specialized retirement plan training and career development where appropriate, including help obtaining any relevant American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) credentials.

Position Responsibilities & Focuses

Client Relations

  • Acting as the point of contact for assigned organizations
  • Responding timely to stakeholder inquiries
  • Building trust with clients, advisors, tax preparers, and any other stakeholders

Retirement Plan Administration

  • Performing plan trust accounting and reconciliations
  • Testing plans for compliance
  • Preparing annual valuation reports and regulatory filings
  • Plan design & document drafting

Teamwork

  • Working with team leads to ensure plans have been administered completely and accurately
  • Fostering strong relationships with your team and office administrators
  • Communicating mistakes/concerns to management timely

Pay rate is determined on experience, with an expected base pay rate of $23-40/hr ($47-83k annualized) before any bonus/incentives after 1-2 years.
