Position Overview

We are looking for a Relationship Manager to join our Private Sector Retirement Solutions Team.

This is a fully remote role with competitive salary, bonus, generous PTO, expansive benefits and much more! 

The Relationship Manager plays a central role in delivering exceptional service and operational support for clients' retirement programs within a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) environment. This individual serves as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of clients, including plan sponsors, accountants, attorneys, investment advisors, and other intermediaries. The successful candidate will be innovative, self-motivated, and efficient, with a passion for both problem solving and structure.

This role is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction by maintaining accurate records, coordinating communications, maintaining plan documentation compliance, and upholding service-level agreements. The Relationship Manager is ultimately accountable for the overall client experience and satisfaction with Daybright services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing plan sponsor census and determining eligibility, vesting and Key Employee/Highly Compensated Employee status.
  • Calculating and allocating employer contributions per the plan’s formula and nondiscrimination rules.
  • Calculating and verifying required deferral refunds per failed ADP test, if applicable.
  • Reconciling plan assets and verifying timely contribution deposits.
  • Completing and reviewing for accuracy all nondiscrimination testing, including ADP/ACP, 410(b), 401(a)(4) and Top Heavy testing.
  • Communicating with client, accountant, attorney and investment advisor.
  • Preparation of Form 5500 and related schedules.
  • Preparation of loan documents.
  • Preparation of distribution forms.
  • Preparation of annual report including benefit statements.
  • Review and interpret plan documents.

Qualifications & Skills

  • College degree preferred.
  • 5-7 Years of experience in the retirement plan service area preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in administration with defined contribution plans
  • Understanding plan types, eligibility, vesting, contributions (employee/employer), distributions, and participant loans.
  • Proficiency in ADP/ACP testing, coverage testing, identifying highly compensated and key employees, top-heavy rules, and government reporting.
  • Familiarity with ERISA requirements, IRS and DOL regulations, and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Technology proficiency, especially with recordkeeping platforms and compliance tools.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track multiple tasks and issues, set goals and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be dependable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with defined benefit plans, Relius and PensionPro a plus.
  • Experience with CRM or TPA management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • ASPPA designations or equivalent preferred.

Compensation: 85k plus 10% of salary annual bonus target based on company and team performance.
