Retirement Plan Administrator

Growing TPA

(Remote / Orland Park IL)

Salary: $60,000–$90,000 base (commensurate with experience)
Benefits: Full benefits package
Location: 100% Remote 

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Retirement Plan Administrator to manage day-to-day administration of qualified retirement plans. This role is open to candidates with experience in DC plans, DB plans, or a combination of both. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, attention to detail, and prior experience working within a TPA environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer qualified retirement plans (DC, DB, and/or combo plans) in compliance with ERISA and IRS regulations
  • Perform annual plan administration, including compliance testing and plan reviews
  • Prepare or review Form 5500s and related schedules
  • Handle plan amendments, restatements, and regulatory updates
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide technical support
  • Coordinate with internal teams, recordkeepers, actuaries, and advisors
  • Maintain accurate plan documentation and participant records

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working for a TPA is required
  • Experience with DC plans, DB plans, or combo plans
  • Strong understanding of qualified plan regulations and compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple plans and deadlines independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fully remote environment

Preferred (but not required)

  • ASP, QPA, QKA, or similar designations
  • Experience with common TPA administration software
