Senior Plan Administrator

Job Responsibilities:
- Plan Administration: Oversee the day-to-day operations of
multiple retirement plans including participant enrollment, contribution processing, loan administration, and distribution processing.
- Compliance: Ensure all plans comply with ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations. Stay updated with
changes in retirement legislation and implement necessary adjustments to plan operations.
- Annual Testing & Reporting: Prepare IRS Form 5500/SAR, audit packages, MRDs, financial statements, participant census, and required
compliance tests (ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, 402g, 410(b), 415, etc.)
- Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of plan activities, participant data, investments, and transactions. Prepare and review plan documents, amendments, and summary
annual reports.
- Client Interaction: Serve as the primary contact for plan sponsors and participants, answering inquiries, resolving issues, and providing education on plan benefits and options.
- Audits:
Assist with annual plan audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
- Education and Outreach: Conduct educational sessions for participants on retirement planning, investment options, and
understanding their benefits.
- Project Management: Coordinate with internal teams (like legal, compliance, and investment) and external partners (such as custodians, record-keepers, and TPAs) to ensure seamless plan
management.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years in retirement plan administration or a similar role within the retirement industry.
- Proficiency in using ftWilliams plan administration
software.
- Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations related to retirement plans.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, including experience managed 50-100+ retirement plans simultaneously.
- Ability to
work independently with a strong commitment to client service excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years in retirement plan administration or a similar role within the retirement
industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Retirement plan administration certifications such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certified Retirement Plan Associate (CRPA), Qualified
401(k) Administrator (QKA), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) or similar.
- Experience as the main point of contact for plan sponsors and participants.
