Retirement Plan Recordkeeper

for Cannabis companies. Through our open architecture recordkeeping services, we provide investment advisors, managers, plan sponsors and participants access to traditional and non- traditional investments.
Department Responsibilities
Our
Recordkeeping team is responsible for processing plan participant transactions and quality checking each distribution, rollover, payroll to ensure funds flow to and from the correct accounts. The department is also responsible for ticket handling and
meeting departmental Service Level Agreements as set by the organization as well as the clients we serve.
Essential Job Duties
- Support daily and balance forward defined contribution and defined benefit plans.
- Customer support,
including answering phones, email and chat inquiries from sponsors, partner and participants.
- Engage in daily trading and reconciliation of trust accounts and contributions.
- Work with Plan Administrators and clients to calculate and
allocate contributions.
- Contribution processing, including processing payroll contribution files.
- Census analysis and determination of participant eligibility and vesting.
- Review, approve and process participant distributions,
including loans.
- Conduct payroll training with new clients; coordinate with payroll vendors and our technology team to support the most efficient payroll contribution process for each client.
- Plan setup in Recordkeeping systems, including
enrollment, contribution, and investment allocation set up for participants.
- Review plan documents, understand retirement plan provisions, install plans in Recordkeeping system.
- Create online accounts for each customer, including uploading
documents, deliver account login information and monitor utilization.
- Monthly and quarterly fee processing, including invoicing and plan asset sweeps.
- Review fund notices and implement fund changes from drafting notices, to communicating
with sponsors, advisor partners and participants.
- Assist with plan conversions, deconversions and mergers/acquisitions.
- Provide support to our clients including business owners and their employees.
- Develop new processes, resulting
in greater efficiencies and reduced costs.
- Support, coordinate, and develop processes with a team responsible for servicing a book of company sponsored retirement plans.
- Research, develop implementation plan and deploy Recordkeeping
enhancements.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years’ related experience in daily recordkeeping or trading/reconciliation experience is required.
- Knowledge of the Retirement Plan Industry is
preferred.
- Superb communication skills and a commitment to superior customer service.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, proficient with numbers and basic calculations.
- Solutions oriented and ability to handle changing and
competing responsibilities.
- Strong command of technology including QuickBooks, and ability to learn new software solutions easily and quickly.
- Proficiency is required with Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with Schwab
Retirement Technologies (SRT) is preferred, or similar system.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- The employee is frequently
required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- The work environment is usually an indoor setting with infrequent exposure to outside elements.
- The person in this position occasionally needs to move about inside a home
office environment to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other common office peripherals.
