Processing Manager

Description:
Manage the team responsible for providing timely and accurate transactional services to clients. Develop and monitor processes and procedures to ensure accuracy, timeliness and measurable performance of ongoing
processing to ensure that contractual obligations under the service agreements are met. In addition, this individual is responsible for assisting with recruitment, development and training of Processing
team.
Responsibilities:
- Directs the activities of the Processing team to ensure optimum efficiency and quality by determining and overseeing department goals/metrics, operating policies and procedures, and compliance with
applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain expert knowledge of processing of transactions including procedures and applicable laws and regulations
- Create and develop resources to promote efficient research of procedures and requirements of
processing requests specific to the various plan providers utilized
- Develop and monitor organizational standards for timelines and workflow
- Coordinates the preparation of monthly production reports, analyzing the reports and providing
summary of findings
- Ensure departmental and individual accountability in performing the various processing related tasks according to the goals and metrics established
- Interprets and resolves complex processing issues to ensure satisfactory
resolution
- Prepare and manage the Processing team budget and reforecasting
- Oversee the SMA and PPA programs as they relate to the Processing Department
- Manage the various co-sourcing relationships as they pertain to the tasks
completed on behalf of the Processing department
- Outstanding TRA Corporate Citizen dedicated to maintaining TRAs reputation at all times in the communities we touch
- Active member of the TRA Leadership Team
- Perform other job related
duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent experience)
- 5-10+ years of industry experiences, including management team responsible for processing of
transactions
- Supervisory experience in the industry preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of the retirement industry and processing guidelines, regulations, procedures, policies, terminology, and legal requirements
- Departmental budget
preparation and management
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills, with the ability to track multiple tasks and issues, set goals and prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and
verbal
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to propose and implement creative solutions
- Ability to take initiative and make independent decisions
- Experience with FT William software is preferred
- ASPPA or NIPA
credentials are preferred
