Position Summary:

Strongpoint Partners is looking for an experienced Retirement Combo Plan Administrator. This full-time, fully remote role involves complete (A-Z) administration of a book of DB/DC combo retirement plans. You’ll work closely with in-house actuaries, maintain client relationships, and contribute to a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

We’re looking for candidates with integrity, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve their retirement goals. Our team values flexibility, teamwork, and long-term professional growth.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a fully remote position and can be performed from anywhere within the United States. We are committed to supporting a flexible work environment and welcome candidates from all U.S. time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage full-cycle administration for approximately a book of small DB/DC combo plans.
  • Interpret and communicate actuarial valuation results and issues with actuaries and clients.
  • Prepare annual valuation packages, including valuation reports, funding notices, certifications, IRS Forms 5500, 5330, 8955-SSA, and PBGC premium filings.
  • Conduct and review annual nondiscrimination testing for DB, Cash Balance, and combo plans (e.g., 410(b), 401(a)(4), 401(a)(26), gateway testing).
  • Design and update plan provisions for existing and prospective clients.
  • Calculate projections, contributions, and participant distributions; review related forms and documentation.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of all reports, disclosures, filings, and communications sent to clients or government agencies.
  • Research and resolve technical or regulatory issues.
  • Maintain proactive, client-focused communication and provide guidance on compliance requirements.
  • Participate in continuing education (e.g., webcasts, ASPPA exams).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of DB and DC retirement plan administration experience, preferably in a TPA environment.
  • Working knowledge of the Datair system preferred.
  • Proven ability to accurately and efficiently perform valuation and trust accounting/asset reconciliation work.
  • Strong knowledge of IRS and DOL regulations, requirements, and filings.
  • Ability to analyze plan documents and recommend plan design or compliance updates.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.

Pay Transparency Statement:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $70,000-$95,000 annually.

At Strongpoint Partners, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US.
