JOB SUMMARY:
Michigan Pension is a Third-Party Administration (TPA) and actuarial services firm specializing in 401(k) and cash balance plan design, administration, and consulting for small to mid-size plans.
We have grown significantly in the past few years and are looking for an experienced Defined Contribution Administrator. Our hope is to hire someone who can eventually manage our entire Defined Contribution line of business.
WHAT ARE THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES?
We are seeking an experienced consultant to oversee an assigned client list and handle their recordkeeping, compliance testing and government reporting. There is significant client contact with both sponsors and their professional advisors involved with the plan.
- Client Communications
- Annual Valuations
- Plan Design Consulting
- Compliance Testing and Contribution Calculations
- Form 5500/Government Reporting
- Work With and Mentor Junior Staff Members
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Ideal candidate has:
- 3 years of experience consulting on defined contribution plans
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or comparable professional work experience
- Comfort working directly with clients and their advisors
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
- QKA designation a plus
WHERE WILL I WORK AND FOR HOW MANY HOURS?
We would strongly prefer an administrator in the Metro-Detroit area, however we are open to remote workers for exceptional candidates. We offer our staff the flexibility to work at the office or at home after an initial trial period if job responsibilities are met.
