Through our open architecture recordkeeping services, we provide investment advisors, managers, plan sponsors and participants access to traditional and non- traditional investments.

Department Responsibilities

The Client Services team works directly with customers and clients of all kinds of businesses. Team members work closely with plan sponsors, partners, and participants to deliver responsive, knowledgeable, and solutions-oriented support throughout the lifecycle of their retirement plans. Team members receive and respond to client or customer questions about properly using or accessing any information regarding their retirement plans as well as expectations on meeting regulatory requirements.

Team members monitor and maintain the client relationship, receiving and processing client requests for initial and additional services. As a hub of the organization, team members regularly collaborate with multiple departments to deliver excellent client care.

Role Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with plan sponsors, advisors, participants, and internal teams to guide requests and inquiries through resolution, ensuring a seamless client experience.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their retirement plan objectives and provide consultative support to help them achieve those goals.
  • Advise clients on technical, regulatory, and administrative issues and collaborate with internal teams to develop effective solutions.
  • Ensure client requirements are understood and work closely with internal partners to design, document, and ensure appropriate sign-off on scope and solutions.
  • Work closely with internal and external parties on clients’ retirement plan compliance matters, mandated testing, and annual audits.
  • Drive client engagement and issue resolution by providing support to clients, including outbound phone calls and email campaigns to resolve plan issues and support service needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to continuously improve operational protocols and client experience processes.
  • Develop and maintain plan operations, document processes, workflow improvements, and support program/policy changes.
  • Participate in plan design consultations with plan sponsors and advisors as part of broader client service and implementation activities.
  • Provide plan design recommendations and assist with drafting plan documents, restatements, and amendments based on client needs.
  • Consult with plan sponsors on retirement plan design strategies as one component of comprehensive advisory support.
  • Partner with internal and external parties in support of vendor relationship management activities.
  • Stay current on regulatory environment through networking and professional memberships and certifications.
  • Analyze client accounts for potential revenue opportunities and support account growth.
  • Support business development through referrals and relationship-building with external partners and professional networks.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years retirement industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • DC plan administration training and experience
  • Superb communication skills and a commitment to superior customer service
  • Emphasis on plan document interpretation, analysis, drafting and application to sponsor operations and goals
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, proficient with numbers and basic calculations
  • A demonstrated track-record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and leverage a firm’s existing strengths
  • Willingness to continually upgrade knowledge and understanding of our industry
  • Self-motivated and Solutions-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • ASPPA Retirement Plan credentialled preferred (ex. RPF, QKA, QPA)
  • Consultant or Advisory Credentials from ASPPA, fi360, or other investment related institutions
  • Proficiency is required with Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, browsing network directories, and dual screens as we are a paperless office.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The work environment is usually an indoor setting with infrequent exposure to outside elements. This position requires less than 5% of travel.
  • The person in this position occasionally needs to move about inside a home office environment to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a printer.
