Why Join ASC?

At ASC, we value work‑life balance and a positive, collaborative culture. Many of our team members have been with ASC for over a decade—something we’re especially proud of. We offer an opportunity to make a real difference for clients who rely on our expertise.

Benefits include:

  • 37.5‑hour workweek with flexible scheduling
  • Medical and dental insurance
  • 401(k) and Section 125 plans
  • Paid time off (PTO)
  • Continuing education and conference attendance
  • Home office expense support
  • Occasional travel (1-2 times per year)

About the Role

Do you enjoy helping others, solving complex problems, and working with smart, supportive colleagues? As an ASC Plan Document Support Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting users of the ASC DGEM Plan Document System and ASC plan documents.  You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate plan documents, smooth system use, and high‑quality support—combining technical knowledge, customer service, and analytical problem‑solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support existing clients using the DGEM Plan Document System and ASC plan documents via phone, email, web, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom, including troubleshooting and software enhancements.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients by helping develop and maintain training materials such as webcasts, videos, user guides, online help, and FAQs.
  • Respond to client questions involving plan document interpretation and regulatory application.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver consulting services through Silver Support and other client requests.
  • Partner with document drafters and software developers to design and maintain logic for system‑generated checklists, validations, forms, and notices (e.g., SPDs, Safe Harbor notices).
  • Perform testing on document system product upgrades and enhancements
  • Perform data mapping and plan document conversion reviews, including file analysis.
  • Review and test new or updated plan document templates for provision accuracy, and proper integration with the DGEM document generation system.
  • Work with ASC’s sales and marketing team to support business growth.
  • Contribute to additional projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Broad knowledge of retirement plans, including IRS and ERISA regulations.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in the retirement plan industry
  • Strong organizational, time‑management, and independent work skills.
  • A customer‑focused mindset with a genuine interest in helping and teaching others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ASC DGEM Plan Documents is preferred; experience with other plan document systems will be considered.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Comfortable researching and resolving complex document interpretation questions.
  • Technically savvy and open to learning new tools and technologies.
  • Professional designations (e.g., ASPPA, NIPA) are a plus.
  • Patience—and a sense of humor—are essential members of the ASC support team!
