Our company is growing and looking to expand our team that supports defined benefit and defined contribution plans!

LIEBG is seeking an experienced Defined Benefit/Defined Contribution Retirement Plan Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships and by performing all day-to-day work that is required for retirement plan administration. The ideal candidate should have retirement plan administration experience, strong attention to detail, and superior customer service skills. The candidate must also have excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.  

Job Description:   

  • Manage all aspects of client administration for defined benefit and defined contribution plans.
  • Answer client, advisor, and accountant calls and correspondence regarding retirement plan administration providing guidance for all compliance related items.
  • Prepare Annual Administration reports, Form 5500 and related schedules, and PBGC filings.
  • Calculate maximum and minimum contribution amounts for plan sponsors to determine the optimal contribution levels.
  • Perform non-discrimination compliance testing: ADP, ACP, 402(g), 415(c), 401(a)(4) 410(b), 401(a)(26) and Top Heavy.
  • Reconcile fund balances at plan and participant level.
  • Review and interpret plan documents, amendments, notices and summary plan descriptions


  • 3+ years of experience in traditional defined benefit and cash balance administration.
  • Solve complex problems with limited direct supervision.
  • Have strong attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and follow up skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
  • Experience with Relius Administration, PensionPal, ftWilliam Documents, and Datair Pension Reporter is a plus.
