Position Overview

USRBP is looking for a Sales Development Representative in Iselin, New Jersey or remotely based.  We are looking for the next rockstar Sales Development Representative to join our rapidly expanding sales organization!

From facilitating initial conversations, to developing team-wide best practices, you will be an integral member of our sales organization.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating excitement about U.S. Retirement & Benefits Partners. You’ll get to work alongside an extremely passionate and supportive team of experienced industry professionals, but most importantly you’ll jumpstart your career in a crucial field. Strategic Value

Generate revenue for USRBP through the following outbound prospecting and servicing inbound leads by:

  • Understanding the current customer needs and requirements
  • Effectively positioning USRBP’s solutions to gain interest
  • Qualifying contacts that match the ideal customer profile

Responsibilities

  • Build rapport with prospects and transition ‘cold’ inquiries over time into ‘warm’ responsive prospects.
  • Develop new business leads and enhance existing relationships.
  • Utilize prospecting and research tools, coordinate with assigned reps to qualify opportunities; prepare for and book pitch meetings with target prospects.
  • Strategize with team members to innovate & improve the overall sales development process.
  • Understands the customer’s environment and introduces new concepts to solve the customer’s problems.
  • Supports marketing campaigns to help optimize revenue.
  • Conduct sales development best practices with email, phone, and social drips using enablement technology to connect with new prospects.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the sales team to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans.
  • Work internally with other departments to ensure proper quality and quantity of demonstrations.
  • Enter pertinent prospect information into CRM. Updates and expands as interactions occur.
  • Internalize best practices and act on coaching advice. Enhances product knowledge through regularly scheduled training sessions. Attend field sales meetings/trainings as appropriate.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • BS/BA required or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Very strong work ethic with confidence to work autonomously.
  • Highly motivated to succeed both individually and with a young and fast-growing company.
  • Basic understanding of CRM tools.
  • Strong phone, prospecting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with the sales teams they support.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to maximize efficiency.
  • Effective listener to understand prospect needs.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated and results driven.
  • Industry knowledge a plus.
