The Opportunity:

As a Plan Document Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact providing solutions and day-to-day support to our valued customers. You will build strong relationships and trust by supporting New Business in drafting of initial plan document in accordance with Benetrends best practices and business model.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented team member with exceptional customer service skills to serve as the subject-matter-expert and partner with Benetrends customers. Must be able to draft adoption agreements and plan amendments while maintaining reliance on pre-approved documents, while incorporating provisions to meet the needs of the client. We’ll give you the training, tools and support to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

Position Location:

This role is available in the following locations: in our Lansdale, PA office, Hybrid or Remote.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Support New Business in drafting of initial plan document in accordance with Benetrends best practices and business model.
• Draft Adoption Agreements and plan amendments while maintaining reliance on pre-approved documents, while incorporating provisions to meet the needs of the client.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders on:
• the amendment process,
• document capabilities,
• identification of information required for amendment fulfillment.
• Collaborate with and with clients to clearly communicate the process, timing & plan design considerations of a plan amendments.
• Review of IRS pre-approved plan documents as well as custom plan documents for merger and protected benefit analysis.
• Other projects assigned by Senior Plan Document Specialist

What we’re looking for:

• Two to three years of experience in defined contribution / qualified plan design & document drafting.
• 2 years of experience with QKA or NIPA designation, or 3 years of experience and the willingness to obtain the QKA with 2 years of employment
• Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASPPA QKA credential or willingness to obtain such within 2 years of employment.
• Ability to work independently and self-sufficiently on assigned tasks.
• Strong commitment to proactively managing workload according to IRS/DOL deadlines.
• Must be willing to work seasonal/cyclical overtime.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office suite; cloud-based client portals and internal network drives.
