Overview of the Position:

Nova 401(k) Associates is looking to fill fully remote Senior Defined Contribution Account Manager positions. If you are located near one of our physical offices (currently Houston and Scottsdale), the position will allow you to work either a fully remote schedule or work some days in the office. We will provide you with a home office set-up including a computer and a phone. Nova has been offering remote work for over 10 years. We offer a great work experience for our remote employees!

We are in the process of transforming our Account Manager positions to focus more on review and client/advisor service. Our Account Manager position is supported by a strong implementation group, plan document team, special projects team and loan and distribution department. Our Account Managers are organized into teams that work toward firm goals with special recognition given to individuals with exceptional performance. Each Team Leader schedules weekly calls to discuss upcoming deadlines and developments within Nova and the industry.

What You will Be Doing:

  • Maintaining client and advisor relationships with a high active client retention rate
  • Maintaining a caseload of more complicated plans
  • Performing escalated work product review for other team members
  • Managing and prioritizing your workload towards weekly goals in a results-oriented team environment
  • Exemplifying superior client service and the ability to consult with clients regarding plan operation and design
  • Proactively communicating with clients and investment advisors about new industry developments
  • Working with other Nova departments, record-keepers and advisors to ensure a great client experience
  • Performing work according to Nova policies and procedures

About You:

  • Ten or more years of 401(k) plan administration experience
  • NIPA or ASPPA credentials
  • College degree
  • Superior knowledge of ADP/ACP, 415, 410(b), Top Heavy and 401(a)(4) non-discrimination testing
  • Superior knowledge of 401(a)4 and controlled group testing; mergers and acquisitions experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to proactively and independently manage a book of business
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High level of critical thinking
  • Committed to lifelong learning and coachable
