Pension and Annuity Analyst

Local 282 Trust Funds

We are seeking a candidate that has experience with 401(k) administration.  They will be working primarily with the administration of the annuity benefits and act as a back-up for pension processes, when needed.

The Pension and Annuity Analyst is also specifically responsible for but not limited to:

• Processing applications for annuity benefits
• Reconciling data for accurate calculations
• Reviewing annual data in preparation for issuance of Annuity Statements
• Preparing Trustee reports
• Learning pension and annuity benefit rules and regulations
• In-Person consultation with participants and/or eligible beneficiaries
• Answering phone inquiries related to annuity benefits
• Researching participant inquiries
• Learning pension processes to assist when needed
• Other duties as assigned by the Fund Manager

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

1. Sufficient inter-personal communication skills to enhance in-person consultations
2. Ability to analyze complex problems
3. Super User in MS Office products with an emphasis on Excel, Outlook and Access
4. 3 years of prior pension and/or annuity experience is a ++
5. Understanding QDROs
