Retirement Plan Services Specialist

Role summary: Demonstrates full knowledge level in assigned area and works under direction only as needed. Provides day-to-day service and support for PlanPremier Third Party Administrator (PPTPA) customers responding to inquiries received via inbound phone calls, emails and online portal. Liaises with internal and external contacts including the plan sponsor, financial professional, TPAs and business partners (e.g., Empower Institutional) to ensure accurate ongoing administration of plans. May proactively educate clients on current product features and communicate new enhancements and other PPTPA product changes. Currently we are working in a hybrid model, coming into the office once a week, every other week. Training would be virtually for 6-7 weeks.

Primary responsibilities/essential functions:

  • Provides service and support for unbundled plans by phone, email and online portal.
  • Educates clients on web tools, admin features, pricing, and product features/services; provides in-depth overview of system and product features, functionality and processes as needed.
  • Contacts clients to inform of enhancements to AF products and services.
  • Responds to requests from external auditors; evaluates the purpose of the audit and information requested to provide appropriate data. Identifies and escalates concerns to management.
  • Partners with vendors to create a superior service experience by consistently achieving service level expectations related to quality and timing.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Business & Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of administration of retirement plan design, terminology, regulations and procedures and ability to apply to work assignments.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of RPS operations, capabilities, and product offerings and ability to apply to work assignments.
