Plan Implementation Consultant

Job Description – Your Role

We are looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and team-oriented Plan Implementation Consultant to join our experienced team.  In this position, customer service is paramount. The Plan Implementation Consultant is the key communicator with advisors and plan sponsor during the implementation process.  You will report to the Plan Implementation Manager and be responsible for onboarding or assisting the team to onboard retirement plans into APB Retirement.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Onboarding advisor sold business to the APB systems.
  • Developing, communicating, and managing implementation timelines.
  • Working with plan sponsors and advisors to obtain necessary data
  • Providing front line support to clients with their question related to the implementation of their plan.
  • Reviewing an interpreting plan documents, amendments, and drafting new plan documents.
  • Assisting clients with effective plan design based on their needs and goals.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

  • A self-starter who can handle a broad variety of tasks without micro-management.
  • A person who is energized by interacting with customers.
  • Experience working in defined contribution plan implementation or a related industry preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret retirement plan documents and have a basic understanding of the related rules and regulations.
  • Microsoft Excel including the use of formulas and overall ability to learn and use different software packages. 
  • ASPPA Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) or higher credential preferred.
  • Experience with Relius Administration preferred.
