New Business Coordinator
MAP Retirement

MAP Retirement is a fast-growing TPA looking for a New Business Coordinator who is responsible for the implementation of new and takeovers for both Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit plans.
They are the clients first impression of MAP, must meet the expectations of the client and coordinate a seamless transition to a dedicated Account Manager. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate strong time management and relationship
management skills, including the ability to learn and adapt quickly in a changing and fast paced team environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Create a positive transition
experience for the client through conference calls, consistent email updates and progress reports
- Conduct Introduction and Welcome calls with new clients
- Communicate service
expectations, conversion process and timing standards to clients, internal departments, and vendors
- Coordinate collection of required incoming documentation
- Review new and/or takeover
material to ensure set-up forms are accurate, complete & in good order
- Knowledgeable of retirement plan documents and plan provisions
- Responsible for asset reconciliation from
prior recordkeeper and new recordkeeper
- Prioritize, research, and resolve client questions related to technology, plan operation & compliance
- Respond to client and advisors’
questions related to their retirement plan including plan design
- Proactively request information and alert clients to plan operational and compliance matters
- Track and monitor all
transition milestones using MAP onboarding systems in place
- Maintain knowledge regarding industry trends and legislative/regulatory requirements and changes
- Assist the Sales team with
day-to-day activities to include running reports and conducting research
Experience / Credentials
- 5+ Years Retirement Plan Experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills: verbal, listening and written
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced
environment
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a changing and fast paced environment, with enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- Experience using recordkeeping/TPA software, FT William
and PensionPro experience a plus
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Certifications through NIPA or ASPPA, including QKA
or equivalent desired -- or must be willing to work towards Industry Designation credentials
