Manager, Plan Services - Cash, Payments and Reporting

As part of The Standard’s Retirement Plans Operations team, the Manager, Plan Services will play a critical role in leading and mentoring a Retirement Plans Operations team. In this role you will implement process improvements to provide timely, accurate, and profitable customer service and contribute to the acquisition and retention of retirement plan clients. This role is responsible for managing the work environment, identifying workforce needs and ensuring alignment with corporate manager expectations, values, and vision. 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Supervise processes and manage multiple teams of internal and offshore distribution, cash, payments, and reporting associates. 
  • Provide regular mentoring and feedback to associates to promote employee development and career growth.  
  • Responsible for the selection, development, motivation, appraisal, and salary recommendations of reporting subordinates.  
  • Coordinate departmental training activities with department training director; monitor ongoing participation of team members.
  • Participate in and/or lead systems development and process improvement projects and practice teams.  
  • Serve as a resource and recommend administrative policies to provide outstanding customer service consistent with regulatory requirements and strategic vision.  
  • Monitor processes and system utilization to support service strategies, administration, and customer needs.  

Job Specifications:   

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field. 
  • Experience: 4 to 6 years’ experience in retirement plans related field including operations, administration, project management, process improvement leadership, and customer service, and/or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. 
  • Professional certification(s) desired: ASPPA (QKA, QPA, CPC) or NIPA (APR, APA) preferred or in progress.

This position is eligible for full-time remote and can be located anywhere within the US.
