We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst with experience working with defined benefit plans. Primary focus will be on Pennsylvania public sector pension plans. This is a fully remote opportunity.

Essential functions of the role:

Actuarial Valuations for Public & Private Sector Defined Benefit Pension Plans

• Request, organize, and review participant data for reasonableness
• Run annual valuation using actuarial valuation software
• Check valuation results to be presented to the actuary
• Draft reports

Benefit Calculations for Plan Participants

• Prepare benefit certifications including calculation of all optional forms of payment
• Required Minimum Distribution calculations
• Draft Government Filings (Form 5500s, PBGC premiums, 8955-SSA)
• Annual Regulatory Compliance Checks

Required education and experience

• College Degree required
• Minimum 3 years of prior work experience related to defined benefit actuarial/administration services
• Proficient with ProVal actuarial valuation software
• Familiarity with OPEB plans is preferred
