This position helps support BlueStar a subsidiary of Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. BlueStar is a full-service recordkeeper and third-party administration specializing in open architecture retirement plans built on a proprietary high-tech and high-service delivery model. They serve 75,000 participants and administers over $4 billion in plan assets.
The Relationship Manager will cultivate relationships between the Ameritas/BlueStar Home Office, financial professionals, and qualified plan decision makers with the goal of retaining and growing plan assets. This position partners with the financial professional assigned to multiple employer plans or complex individual plans to enhance the plan sponsor's perception of the financial professional and Ameritas/BlueStar. Relationship-building is a key focus of this role.
This position interacts with plan sponsors both virtually and face to face. An ability to present professionally via virtual tools (WebEx, Zoom, etc.) is necessary. This role will require travel approximately 10% of the time covering a region that spans primarily the East coast but can be national. Overnight stays and evening meetings will be required.
Assist Regional Directors, Internal Regional Sale Consultants and Financial Advisors in achieving sales goals, developing business plans and data mining existing clients for sales and service opportunities. Assist Account Managers on escalated or complex operational issues or plan goals. Guide large new plans through the on-going plan changes and new adoptions or mergers; including conducting enrollment meetings, reviewing the plan adoption agreements with the client, reviewing operational needs, reviewing the contract with the client, obtaining signatures, explaining data and contribution transmission methods, and resolving any problems that may arise during the plan life cycle.
