Defined Benefit Actuarial Administrator

We are seeking a Defined Benefit Actuarial Administrator who has experience with administration of Defined Benefit Plans, Cash Balance Plans, and DB/DC Combo Plans.  The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to develop and grow with a strong actuarial team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for full plan administration for DB Plans including compliance/discrimination testing, contribution calculations, distribution calculations, and actuarial valuation work
• Government forms filings including PBGC Forms
• Communication with clients and financial advisors
• Completion of Plan Termination Process
• Ability to ensure accurate, timely work to a full caseload
• Continue education to develop skills to become a subject matter expert

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in math, actuarial science, finance, accounting, or other professional designation
• Knowledgeable of rules and regulations of ERISA, DOL, IRS, and DOL
• Experience completing required testing including 401(a)(4), 410(b), 416, 404, 430, 436
• Very knowledgeable with Excel, Word, Outlook
• Effective Communication skills both verbal and written
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

OTHER DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with ASC Software
• QPA, EA (or pursuit of EA)
• Desire to continue growth and education
• Organized and have the ability to work independently and as a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivated
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and have a positive "can-do" attitude
