The candidate for this position will:
You may qualify for this position based on education, specialized experience, or a combination of both.
Specialized Experience:
You may qualify at the GS-07 grade level, if you possess at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the private sector applying analytical and actuarial techniques to research and analyze mathematical data. Examples may include: performing analysis and evaluation of records, documents and relevant data; or reviewing and calculating accrued benefits.
You may qualify at the GS-09 grade level, if you possess at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the private sector applying analytical and actuarial techniques to perform statistical analysis. Examples may include: reviewing asset allocations and adjusting estimated mortality, disability, or retirement rates.
Who is eligible for the Recent Graduates Program? Any individual who completed all requirements for an associate, bachelor, master's, professional, or doctorate degree from a qualifying educational institution within the previous two years meets the basic requirement to apply for the Recent Graduate Program;

Any veteran released or discharged from active duty within the previous two years but not more than six years following completion of applicable degree;

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation will accept and process applications for Recent Graduate positions up to 120 days prior to the actual graduation and conferring of an associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree. Final offers will be contingent upon completion of all educational requirements. Final offers can only be made once the applicant’s degree is conferred, and a copy of the official transcript received.
