Works directly with internal and external retirement plan clients and is responsible for reviewing, coordinating, implementing and managing complex retirement plan changes. Requires a very strong end to end understanding of systems, regulatory requirements and product knowledge. Plan changes include, but are not limited to, mergers and acquisitions, advisor changes, service model changes and fiduciary services. Provides a positive customer experience while managing detailed tasks and mitigating risk. Acts as a consultative resource in reviewing plans prior to undergoing a complex plan change or product selection including automatic enrollment and Mainspring Managed. Trains account managers, relationship managers and other internal teams on complex plan design and product changes and/or additions. Role may include process ownership and improvement including documentation and supporting training for new processes. May act as a recognized subject matter expert.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible retirement plans experience including: implementation activities, core account management functions, project involvement, plan document design, client and partner relationship management, experience with various plan types, investments, and federal pension regulations, knowledge of retirement plan asset transfer and reconciliation processes and regulations including SOX notification. Direct customer facing experience in retirement plans is required. ASPPA CPC, QKA, QKC, QPA, or NIPA (APA) (APR) preferred or in progress.
