As the Director of the Financial Concierge Services Team, you will be instrumental in delivering on our mission to be there when our customers need us the most!

The Director will develop, transform, and lead a team of individual contributors responsible for providing financial consultation services over the phone to active and separated OneAmerica (OA) retirement plan participants. The team is focused on advising and supporting participants who have a desire for one-on-one guidance during key points in their journey to financial confidence.

As the Director, you have a bias to action to achieve top results. You will:

  • Create and transform the expanded participant financial consultation services function and team by building the people, processes, and technology to achieve desired outcomes for current and future business needs.
  • Drive high quality service to participants resulting in incremental positive business impacts through growing and retaining their business as well as cross-selling.  
  • Hire, train, and lead a highly engaged team of experienced professionals.
  • Develop best practices and consistent delivery of services which result in high customer satisfaction and achievement of business results.
  • Evaluate best practices and develop operational efficiencies within the team's OA Ways to ensure our clients’ needs are met.
  • Compile and analyze data obtained from Salesforce. Create reports and dashboards of metrics to optimize the team's activities, deliverables, and overall results.
  • Track measurable customer behavior results to promote innovative ways to engage participants (active and terminated) and improve results.
  • Work in partnership and positively influence key stakeholders and internal partners to collaborate, knowledge share and identify ways to work together most efficiently.
  • Identify product gaps and partner with Strategy and Product teams to innovate our suite to meet individual needs and achieve business outcomes.
  • Stay informed of industry market trends and competitor's offerings.
  • Ensure that each team member is acting as a fiduciary and team operates with consistent compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with leadership to enhance cross selling opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with field and distribution partners

Your qualifications include:

  • Experience managing and maintaining positive relationships with clients
  • Proven experience leading teams to higher productivity and success
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in a matrix environment, working with cross functional teams to build the tools, systems, and processes to more effectively serve the client population
  • Minimum 5 years in financial services industry or related field
  • Management of phone sales team preferred
  • Knowledge of retirement plans is required including ERISA; investments; individual life insurance, annuities, and long-term care products, basic and advanced financial education, retirement planning, and financial wellness ecosystem(s)
  • Any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or other  is required, Master’s degree is preferred
  • Retirement Industry Designations - Certified Financial Planner (CFP),  American College Designations are preferred but not required

Required Licensure and/or Certifications (Can be obtained after hiring)

  • Life and Health Insurance License, LTC Certification
  • Series 65 or 66 (IAR designation)
  • Series 6 or 7
  • Series 24 or 26

Salary Band: 07B

As a condition of employment, OneAmerica requires that all new hires who receive a job offer on or after Jan. 17, 2022 provide evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 within the first week of their employment with OneAmerica, unless an exemption has been granted as an accommodation due to the individual’s medical condition, sincerely held religious belief, or other legal requirement. This selected candidate will be expected to work Hybrid in Indianapolis, IN.
