We are expanding our DB side of the business and are seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable person to grow with our group. You will work from your home office with the support of AimPoint Pension.

This role requires knowledge of defined benefit and cash balance administration, although it is necessary to be an “expert.” 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as the primary point of contact and maintain quality communication with the plan sponsor, advisors, and accountants;
  • Perform annual testing to demonstrate satisfaction of IRS coverage and non-discrimination requirements;
  • Analyze plan documents and pro-actively recommend changes to accommodate client needs;
  • Preparation of annual valuations and governmental Form 5500 Series with related schedules;
  • Calculation of contributions to optimize tax savings while passing required testing;
  • Earned income calculation for pension purposes for an unincorporated employer;
  • Prepare preliminary design studies and projections for prospective clients;
  • Support actuaries and consultants to provide top-notch customer service;
  • Calculation of retirement distribution benefits;
  • Preparation of PBGC filings and notices; and
  • Reconciliation of plan assets.

Qualifications required:

  • 2-5 years of experience in traditional defined benefit and cash balance administration;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products, FT William, and Pension Pro (preferred but not a must);
  • Able to work well under pressure while maintaining a strong attention to detail;
  • Extensive client management experience with a proven history of retention;
  • Working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, DOL, and PBGC rules and regulations; and
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
