Distribution Manager

The Distributions & Loans Manager is responsible for ensuring all aspects of distributions and loans work is done timely and accurately. This includes:

  • Oversight and direct supervision of the Distributions & Loans Department comprised of various processing teams.
  • Planning and coordinating workflow of the department
  • Maintaining adherence to established Company and/or regulatory guidelines
  • Strong technical knowledge of distribution and loan regulations as they relate to retirement plans
  • Implement and provide training on procedures as needed
  • Monitor trends and discuss directives that do not fall in line with standard operating processes and work to implement changes of those not adhering
  • Knowledge of defined contribution and defined pension plan administration

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures adherence to established distributions & loans processing standards
  • Keep abreast of processing deadlines as they relate to a Plan’s distribution and loan cycles
  • Provides technical direction as it relates to retirement plan distributions and loans
  • Provides coaching and development within the departments
  • Monitors the workflow systems for timely transactions
  • Identifies, plans, and manages process improvement projects to create year-over-year efficiencies with workloads
  • Reviews and signs off on escalated deliverables
  • Ensures processing documentation is accurate and complete for all methods of distribution and loan submission
  • Develops and delivers any training documents or write-ups
  • Monitors ongoing adherence to standard procedures to ensure high quality
  • Assists with audit requests
  • Participates as an active member of the cyber/fraud team
  • Research issues within the recordkeeping system
  • Special projects or duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualificaitons

Must show strong proven independent capabilities and the ability to coach and lead others in the following competencies: project planning and execution; client knowledge and responsiveness; attention to detail; teamwork (including virtual team members); process improvement; written and verbal communication; problem solving and decision making using analytical and technical skills. Demonstrated knowledge of retirement and recordkeeping systems and recordkeeping distribution and loan functions.

The leader must prove they are a committed team member with the ability to effectively communicate and drive results.

Education and/or Experience

  • Four-year college or university degree in business or related field
  • Required Relius Administration experience as related to distributions and loans
  • Strong technical skills as they relate to all types of retirement plan distributions
  • Expertise with government forms as they relate to distributions and loans
  • QKA Preferred
