Job Summary:  Assists internal partners with various projects and deliverables for our internal and external clients. Prepares calculations and documentation relating to certain retirement plan operational errors and  certain IRS filings, corrections to operational errors, and serving as a resource both internally and externally for certain operational corrections and calculations.   

Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Prepares calculations for late deposits and missed deferral opportunities
  • Investigates and clarifies client data or census questions
  • Enters data into CRM and other software.
  • Produces reports for compliance-related determinations
  • Prepares drafts of certain participant communications documents relating to operational errors
  • Prepares drafts of EPCRS compliance documents for review by supervisors
  • Prepares government filings (VCP and VFCP filings) for review by supervisors
  • Assists with other compliance review projects
  • Collaborate with team members to facilitate team objectives
  • Answers questions from Client Service Team and other Newport staff
  • Interacts with sales consultants, team colleagues and other personnel as needed to complete assigned projects by deadlines
  • Responds to questions from internal and external clients
  • Assists with special projects from time to time
  • Prioritizes projects
  • Regular, reliable and punctual attendance

Management Responsibilities

Required Education, Experience and Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel 

Preferred (but not required) education or skills for this role

  • 4-year college degree
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in retirement plan industry
  • ASPPA or NIPA applicable designations
