We are seeking an ambitious administrator to provide excellent client service to our west coast and southwest book of clients.

  • Own defined benefit administration outsourcing relationships for our clients spanning Single Employer, California government,  and Church pension plans.
  • Provide pension administration services including preparing and/or checking individual benefit calculations and annual benefit statements, processing data updates, drafting and/or reviewing payment directives and reconciling benefit payment information.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to client requests related to their pension plan and participants.
  • Answer both by phone and email any participant questions relating to plan provisions and the employee’s specific situation.
  • Interpret pension plan documents along with general retirement plan regulations and make recommendations to clients and consultants.
  • Stay abreast of any changes in regulations or best practices related to defined benefit plans and related administration.
  • Assist with special projects such as plan terminations, lump sum windows, and plan freezes.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including actuarial, IT and non-pension business units.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with defined benefit administration required
  • Proficiency with Windows-based operating systems and the Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks in order to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • ProAdmin experience and experience with California public pensions and PEPRA a plus
  • ASA, QKA, QPA and/or CEBS designations preferred
