Job Title:         Compliance Analyst

Reports To:     Director of DC Administration

Classification: Full Time – Exempt., Working Remotely

Purpose of Position

The Compliance Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of year end compliance testing, Form 5500 and related attachments and documents. The CA will have experience in a variety of administrative duties, including but not limited to, distribution verifications, plan document preparation and interpretation and will be part of a collaborative team to best service our clients.

Primary Role

  • Ensure compliance with DOL and IRS requirements
  • Calculate Employer Contributions, including Pro-Rata, Integrated and Cross Tested Allocations.
  • Completion of Coverage, Top Heavy, Anti-Discrimination (ADP and ACP) Tests as appropriate.
  • Verify annual additions and deductibility limits.
  • Prepare Form 5500 and related schedules.
  • Calculate refunds of excess contributions, excess deferrals and amounts over plan limits.
  • Have a working knowledge of custodian websites and processes
  • Verify distribution requests for accuracy and legitimacy
  • Creation of Plan Documents & Amendments.

Skills Required

  • Retirement administration experience in a professional environment
  • Experience with FT William software preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of Pension Pro workflow management system preferred
  • Must be detailed and possess strong organizational skills
  • Time management focused adhering to deadlines and timelines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • A demonstrated track-record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations
  • Familiarity with Plan Documents and Plan Amendments
  • Understand Form 5500 long form and requirements for audit support

Qualifications Preferred

  • College degree preferred
  • ASPPA or other industry recognized designations preferred
  • Broad knowledge of the retirement plan industry
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in retirement plan industry
