Position Name: Recordkeeper Specialist Position

Position Summary:

The Recordkeeper Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining Recordkeeper relationships, managing the client request exceptions process and custom project requests, working with the Benetic product team to enhance and improve our recordkeeper platform, and interacting with the Customer Success team to ensure all of our clients (Advisors, Recordkeepers, and other Service Providers) are productive and successful.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with Recordkeepers to get them set up on the Benetic platform, including completing their recordkeepers ancillary services questionnaire, loading their pricing schematics, and importing their fund lineups.
  • Manager the Advisor proposal request process. This responsibility includes overseeing and validating the automatic process as well as engaging with  recordkeepers, managing any back-and-forth questions or additional material needs, ensuring timely responses from recordkeepers,and conducting proposal review sessions, when needed, with advisors.
  • Responsible for tracking all proposals, custom and real-time, and routinely generating proposal related statistics and reports.
  • Perform demos of the Recordkeeper portal 
  • Regularly follow up with Recordkeeper contacts to ensure their Benetic platform information is current and complete.
  • Gather and document Recordkeeper specifics/details 
  • Interact with the Product Development team to funnel back client input, usability suggestions, product improvement ideas, etc..
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of the retirement industry

Important Professional Requirements:

  • Attention to detail. Interpreting recordkeeper proposals requires a high level of attention to detail. Identifying missing information, conflicting answers vis-a-vis prior proposal responses, and catching asides often found in footnotes is critical. 
  • Diplomacy. This position requires interaction with Advisors, Recordkeepers, and other Service Providers. These are all Benetic clients so ensuring each interaction is appropriately aligned and professional is important.
  • Willingness to wear many hats: Benetic is a start-up company with rapidly evolving infrastructure. This means every employee must be willing to do a variety of projects, from helping to develop training materials to tracking down bugs on the platform, the position requires flexibility and an eagerness to help out where needed.
