Job Description:

  • The Relationship Manager is responsible for the overall management of retirement plan clients, including plan design consultation, fiduciary oversight, investment evaluation, and employee education. 

Job Responsibilities and Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Retirement Plan Client’s primary contact
  • Ongoing on-site meetings with clients to review plan investments, plan design and fiduciary responsibilities
  • Lead plan fiduciary review meetings with clients
  • Communicate current trends and pending legislative changes
  • Prepare and analyze investment benchmarking data for clients
  • Assist clients in the selection of plan investment options
  • Assist in the investment research and investment analysis work for client portfolios
  • Develop and implement communication strategies for plan participants
  • Lead and participate in employee communication efforts via group presentations and individual meetings
  • Assist in the sales process (RFP and proposal development, presentation, etc.) as needed
  • Coordinate the implementation of new clients

Skills / Qualifications (Required):

  • Extensive knowledge of corporate retirement plans (401k, 403b, 457)
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle and resolve client related issues
  • Computer skills which include proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Dynamics CRM
  • Travel required, including overnight stays
  • Demonstrate a commitment to building new skills

Education / Experience:

  • BS/BA Degree required
  • Securities license (Series 65) within 90 days of start date
  • Professional designation/certification relating to the 401(k) plan industry preferred
  • Five or more years of industry experience
