Schwab Retirement Plan Services provides third party recordkeeping and retirement plan administration to employers nationwide. We believe the provider matters, and we are committed to sustaining near-perfect service to our clients. The ERISA Compliance Department assists plan sponsors by ensuring their plans are operated in accordance with the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA, following IRS and DOL regulations and plan provisions.

The Senior Team Manager of ERISA Compliance will lead a team of professionals in Austin, TX with responsibility to perform ADP/ACP and other required annual plan testing, preparation of contribution allocations and applicable specialized testing, Form 5500 preparation, and responding to external auditor inquiries.

The Senior Team Manager is a member of a team of experts contributing to strategy, vision, and the continuous improvement of operational efficiency while keeping the client experience top of mind. The department partners with Consulting and Relationship Management teams to resolve issues affecting our clients. The primary servicing locations are in Richfield, OH and Austin, TX.

  • Thoughtfully and swiftly resolving high pressure situations with professionalism and transparency

What you have:

  • 8-10 years people leadership (or related) experience with a knowledge emphasis on Compliance Testing, Form 5500 preparation, Internal Revenue Code and Department of Labor regulations
  • Clear written and oral communication skills
  • Strategic, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Customer focus, including the ability to see the customer’s perspective and expectations
  • Follow through on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing based on risk/business needs
  • Proactive anticipation and management of project events, issues, and obstacles
  • Business acumen, flexibility, and judgment to evaluate and resolve issues of high complexity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Math, or Finance
  • ASPPA QKA, QPA or CPC Designation
  • Experience with ASC testing software and FT Williams Form 5500 software
  • A network in the retirement industry to bring insights and ideas to the leadership team
