We are currently seeking a full time Financial Processor (Distributions Specialist) to join our growing TPA firm.  We are a small business with a solid reputation.  We pride ourselves on having a collaborative, positive work environment.  We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a self-starter and possess a mindset of always putting the client and participants first
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with a small team and managers
  • Review and process 401(k) distributions and loan requests
  • Determine eligibility and availability with knowledge of ERISA distribution rules
  • Manage all stages of physical paperwork and online requests
  • Prepare 401(k) distribution packages to terminated employees
  • Evaluate and review hardship distributions
  • Evaluate and track rollover requests
  • Track vesting for all participants as necessary
  • Identify loan defaults and RMDs from reports online or provided by plan sponsors
  • Update account managers, management, and plan sponsors as necessary on requests and progress in a timely fashion
  • Input and follow tasks in PensionPro
  • Monitor databases for discrepancies in vesting, important dates, addresses
  • Have a working knowledge of various record-keeping websites
  • Establish solid working relationships with all vendors and plan sponsors to ensure open and accurate communication regarding status and eligibility
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with 401(k) plans required
  • A minimum of 2 years of retirement plan distributions experience preferred (in a TPA environment a PLUS)
  • RPF Certification
  • QKA preferred
  • Strong time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of multi-tasking, while maintaining focus and attention to details
  • Ability to retain numerous and varied processing procedures
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle fluctuations in work volume
  • Enhanced computer knowledge and Excel skills, and the ability to work with complex spreadsheets
  • Possess good reconciliation skills and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate with administrators regarding work requests
  • High integrity and accountability
  • Collaborative mindset to work with team members from all divisions and different levels in the organization
  • In-office is preferred but remote can be considered
