Assistant Retirement Plan/HR Administrator

Columbia Benefits, LLC is seeking a motivated Assistant Retirement Plan/Employee Benefits oriented individual. Experience with Defined Contribution Plan/Defined Benefit Plan plan reconciliation/administration, Group Insurance, Individual Insurance, Sales Support and general office administrative duties a big plus.

Detail-oriented required. Prefer candidate with experience with DATAIR pension system, Morningstar, Schwab Institutionaland SalesForce. The position is currently an hourly position 16 to 35 hours per week with competitive compensation, bonuses and a flexible schedule.  Hours needed are 9-4 Monday-Friday. We are open to 4day or 3day work weeks.

  • HSA with Employer funding of $200/mo to be used for Dental, Vision or any un-reimbursed medical expense
  • 401(k)/Profit Sharing with 3% Employer non-discretionary and 2-3% Profit Sharing.

Qualified Plans

  • Document Restatements and Amendments
  • Reconciliation of plan assets
  • Preparation of Form 5500, Schedule B, and Forms 1099R
  • Balance-forward recordkeeping of participant accounts
  • Census analysis and calculation of plan contributions
  • Performance of nondiscrimination & top-heavy tests
  • Actuarial valuation understanding
  • Participant termination processing
  • Familiarity with Datair is highly desired

Investment Management

  • Helping gather investment portfolio information
  • Inputting info into investment management software
  • Running reports
  • Preparing reports for client meetings
  • Following up on the implementation of action items.
  • Familiarity with Morningstar CAMS, Morningstar Officehighly desired.

Office Administration

  • Ordering Supplies
  • Answer Phone
