BlueStar Retirement Services, a rapidly growing 401(k) administration company, is currently looking for new talent! We have an available position in our Recordkeeping department.

Overall responsibility

Responsible for all special trading requests, corrections, and transactions, trading for plan transfers in/out, imports from and exports to custodians, share and cash reconciliation, and fund mappings and model maintenance. 

Key areas of responsibility

Develop new technical skills and expand knowledge of our systems and recordkeeping software to find better ways to service our clients and adapt to system changes and upgrades

  • Reconcile Relius and custodian share and cash balances daily
  • Perform annual reconciliations of trust accounts and Relius records for Form 5500s
  • Reconcile records and execute transactions necessary for plans transferring in and out
  • Add new sources and accounts as necessary to existing plans
  • Management and trading of revenue sharing and suspense accounts
  • Management and trading of fee requests
  • Post and Reconcile Prior Year Contributions
  • Processing of all Special Trading Requests, including true-ups, distribution buy-backs, cash dividends, and lost earnings allocations
  • Processing of Relius corrections, including ledger corrections, negative balance corrections, source corrections, vesting corrections, and SSN corrections
  • Processing of internal participant account transfers, including plan-to-plan transfer, QDRO splits, and beneficiary accounts
  • Management of plan investment changes and mapping requests
  • Maintain models and execute requested model rebalancing
  • Establish and maintain SDAs within Relius
  • Process custodian requests (SubTa Counts, 22c2, and short-term redemption fees)
  • Review and trade distributions and loan transactions, including ADP/ACP refunds
  • Review trading instructions and export distributions and loans daily to custodians
  • Export trades daily to custodians
  • Provide technical support to payroll administrators
  • Provide technical support for issues relating to trading
  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL
