Operations Manager & Compliance Consultant

We provide high-quality, high-touch qualified plan (defined contribution & defined benefit) consulting and administration services. We are passionate about providing value to our clients and maintaining enduring relationships.

We are seeking an Operations Manager & Compliance Consultant for a leadership role.  This would include managing a team of six administrators, daily and annual workflow, creating and improving processes, and ensuring that all work goes out timely and correctly.  This position requires daily interaction with clients.  It also includes preparing plan design illustrations for prospects.

Requirements of a successful candidate:

A minimum of 10 years of administrative experience in all aspects of Qualified Plans. Specifically:

  • Document Drafting
  • Valuations
  • All testing including cross-testing
  • Preparation of Form 5500’s
  • Trust Accounting
  • Contribution Calculations
  • Distribution & Loan Processing
  • ERPA designation desirable
  • Certified Pension Consultant or other like designation

Extensive knowledge of the following software systems:

  • Datair Pension System and Pension Reporter
  • FT Williams Document System
  • Pension Pro Client Relationship Management System
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe
  • Leadership, team participation, and self-development
    • Attention to detail and dedication to meeting deadlines
    • Commitment to excellence in client experience
    • Great communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • A desire to build relationships with your clients.
    • Accountable for face to face meetings and responding to client calls and emails within a 4 hour time period
    • A desire to be in a leadership role
    • Maintain an expert knowledge of retirement plans, ERISA, fiduciary issues, DOL & IRS regulations
    • Ability to manage overall client relationships with the support of day-to-day account management
    • Assist, educate and develop other staff members with existing client service requirements
    • Acts independently with minimal direction
    • Establish and maintain solid working relationships with fellow ABC team consultants and account managers
    • Provide technical support to staff and work as a team to effectively cross-train client assignments and workflow
    • Solutions focused approach for addressing and resolving internal and external challenges

In addition, we are seeking an individual with the ability to be pro-active and not afraid to think outside the box.
