WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?

The Implementation Project Manager (IPM) serves as the overall project manager for new client implementations in RETIREMENT PLAN SERVICES and oversees specific projects for existing clients.  The IPM is responsible for developing and fostering long-term client relationships by providing high-quality project management to ensure we get off to a good start with new clients.  The IPM is also responsible for managing the scope of services for each client, consulting towards best practices, and acting as the project manager coordinating the activities of other Retirement staff with implementation responsibilities.

EXPERIENCE

  • Excellence in Project Management, prior positions as Implementation Project Manager in Retirement plan administration.
  • Proven record in successful client relationship building.
  • Knowledge of RETIREMENT benefits regulations, plan design, and industry best practices.
  • Superior record of stellar client service relationships and client-facing roles.
  • Comfortable working with people at all levels of organizations.
  • 5-10 years’ RETIREMENT plan benefits experience with implementations.

SKILLS

  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Extreme professionalism and the ability to enthusiastically assist clients.
  • Proficiency with MS office technology (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency with office technology, information systems, analysis and project management tools.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Clear, concise, and accurate oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Logical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with other teams and departments.
  • High level of initiative, develops ways to speed up repetitive tasks, makes suggestions and generates support for changes to working practices, goes beyond what is required in role to meet own standards.
