Job purpose

The position will manage communications with clients, participants, brokers, CPAs and depository’s in a timely and professional manner. Process and review withdrawals, assist outsourcing with distribution and loan procedures, and administer memorandums.

Our ideal candidate would have a minimum 2 plus years’ as a Distributions and Loans Processor in the retirement/pension industry experience with a minimum High School Diploma. Completion of ASPPA Retirement Plan Fundamentals (RPF) is a plus.

Job Description

  • Handle E-mails & Phone Calls from clients, participants, brokers, CPA’s, depository’s,
  • Process and review the withdrawals,
  • Apply for Employer Identification Numbers (EIN),
  • Administer Missing Participant searches,
  • Assist outsourcing with distributions and loans,
  • Administer Retirement Plan Administration (RPA) Memorandum’s,
  • Process Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO),
  • Conduct research for retirement plans,
  • Prepare Form 1099-R, Form 1096 and Form 945,
  • Manage applications for processing,
  • Assist clients with Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS), tax reporting,
  • Help with Form 945 Projects,
  • Electronically file Form 5500s that are classified urgent,
  • Upload filing confirmation of Form 5500s on company’s website, when compliance consultants signed the Form 5500,
  • Assist outsourcing with Form 5500s/8955s,
  • Assist our compliance consultants with Form 5500s occasionally,
  • Help outsourcing mail the Form 5558s,
  • Prepare Form 5558s that are classified urgent
  • Act as a back-up for other team members,
  • No travel required,
  • Additional duties may be assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent,
  • Two years of experience in retirement industry,
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, manage tasks and meet deadlines in connection with business operations,
  • Must have proven success regarding client satisfaction and work production,
  • Team oriented attitude a willingness to help others achieve,
  • Strong knowledge of English grammar, composition, spelling and punctuation,
  • Computer proficiency and a strong command of the Microsoft suite of products,
  • Advanced customer service skills including appropriate business etiquette in all dealings,
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills,
  • Willingness to take on new duties and responsibilities as requested,

Physical requirements

The physical demands of the job include sitting for long periods of time, typing, visually reviewing data on a computer screen/monitor.
