JOB SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for utilizing Newport’s systems and templates to produce legal documents and notices (including service contracts, retirement plan documents, IRS and DOL disclosures and notices); to provide quality control and review the work of other team members and to work with team leaders to facilitate projects for the team.

  • Prepare legal documents, IRS and DOL disclosures and notices and related documents for applicable services/product lines;
  • Review and provide quality control for disclosures, notices and documents produced by other team members;
  • Develop, prepare, and implement procedures & checklists for processes used by team;
  • Assist and/or lead with training new and existing team members for disclosures, notices, documents, and related processes as needed;
  • Update project management tools to track workflow for assigned projects;
  • Upload documents to our internal and external websites, document storage drives and other software as needed;
  • Monitor team emails, provide responses and process documents received;
  • Assign projects to other team members;
  • Work on other projects as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities (none)

 Required Education, Experience and Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education
  • 2+ years of office experience compiling and processing legal documents
  • 3+ years of experience working in a banking or financial institution environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

 Preferred (but not required) education or skills for this role are

  • ASPPA QKA and/or QPA credentials
