This position is a Wakefield, MA office position with the flexibility of working from home a couple days a week.

The Purpose of your role:  

We are searching for a motivated individual who demonstrates leadership skills to be the manager of our Plan Consulting Reporting Services Team. This team provides support to our retirement plan services team of Plan Consultants. In this role, you will oversee a team of specialists and be responsible for IRS Form 5500 filings, trust accounting preparation, plan audit processes and other tasks as needed. The team is critical to providing quality customer service to our clients and meeting deadlines. This role offers a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.

The Expertise we’re looking for:

  • Coach, mentor, motivate and manage team members through daily workflow, challenges and solutions, personnel evaluation and training opportunities. 
  • Prepare and publish defined contribution and defined benefit financial records in accordance with the IRS Form 5500.
  • Reconcile and prepare trust accounting for retirement plans and when necessary, research and respond to trust accounting questions.
  • Oversee audit package preparation and complete data collection for annual requests.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate timely completion of tasks in order to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain knowledge of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code and regulations related to retirement plan administration.
  • Perform highly detailed tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Commit to continuous improvement of quality deliverables and services, identify best practices, and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Provide administrative support as needed; manage other projects as needed

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the retirement benefits services industry or related experience in account management, financial reconciliation or tax reporting.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel including the use of formulas.
  • Ability to learn new tools including a recordkeeping software, reporting software and client management database quickly.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize your time and workload effectively.
