Frost, PLLC has an immediate opening for a Senior TPA to advance to Manager.  Exceptional career opportunity for the professional with passion and self-motivation to expertly handle administration, reporting and compliance of our client’s employer sponsored retirement plans. The expectation is the TPA would become the Manager by the summer of 2022.

SKILLS

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Ability to learn new software – ASC TPA Administration, Ft. Williams 5500 software, Form 1099-R preparation, T-Value, Engagement, etc.
• Ability to prepare balance sheets and income statements.
• Able to read brokerage statements and classify and record transactions.
• Able to learn concepts of allocating contributions, earnings, calculating years of service, run discrimination and coverage tests, interpretation of adoption agreement, work with various forms for making distributions and loans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lower level:

1. Preparation of Dept. of Labor Form 5500’s, including requesting and tracking receipt of data.
2. Accounting for retirement assets from brokerage statements using Excel.
3. Enter employee census data into Excel Spreadsheets for import into database.

Mid Level: (as employee gains experience and demonstrates capabilities)

1. Access trust accounts on internet for download, sorting and importing into database.
2. Prepare loan paperwork and paperwork for trustee to request checks.
3. Allocation of contributions, earnings and determine vesting.
4. Discrimination testing, coverage testing, top heavy testing.

Upper Level: (as employee gains experience and demonstrates capabilities)

1. Processing of benefit payments from plan assets – involves updating account balance for 401(k) and required contributions, updating vesting, preparing distribution election forms, preparing insurance and other forms to request checks.
2. Keep plan operating in compliance with plan document and IRS / DOL legislation.
3. Amendment and installation of retirement plan documents and summary plan descriptions using ASCI DGEM software.
4. Plan Design.
5. Consultation with plan sponsors regarding plan issues.
6. Billing

Education:

1. Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting
