Small NY Actuarial TPA Firm

We are a small NY actuarial and TPA firm who specialize in providing actuarial, consulting, third party administration and legal services for small, closely held companies.  We are seeking a qualified individual to fill an immediate in office OR telecommuting opening within our organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Reconcile employee data provided by client
• Reconcile trust assets
• Perform valuations for defined benefit (including cash balance) and profit sharing (including 401k) plans
• Perform compliance testing as required (e.g. ADP/ACP, 401(a)(4), 410(b) etc.)
• Prepare valuation reports and employee statements
• Process distributions and loans
• Prepare government filings (including 5500 series, PBGC, 8955-SSA, etc.)

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of small plan DB and DC experience
• Experience with ASC Valuation system a PLUS
• Knowledge of laws and regulations related to small qualified plans
• The ability to read and interpret plan documents
• Strong computer and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented
• Can multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Is a team player with a willingness to learn and grow but can also work independently
