Bates & Company is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Manager. This position will be best filled by a candidate that likes a challenge and enjoys reviewing the work of other administrators.  Attention to details and the ability to catch oversights is essential in this position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review contribution calculations and non-discrimination testing (ADP/ACP, 401(a)4, 410(b))
• Review annual valuations, which includes, IRS form 5500, financials, contributions, account balance statements, non-discrimination testing, participant statements, and safe harbor compliance
• Interpret plan documents

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in retirement plan administration and testing
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, Internal Revenue Code and Regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Organized Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, proficient with numbers and basic calculations
• High level of critical thinking
• Knowledge of ASCi DGEM Documents, PensionPal and Datair PE WIN a plus
• Accounting degree or mathematics degree preferred
