Plan Operations Specialist

Overall responsibility
Support the on-going service needs of existing clients.
Key areas of responsibility
- Develop new technical skills and expand knowledge of our systems and recordkeeping
software to find better ways to service our clients and adapt to system changes and upgrades
- Act as BlueStar’s ambassador to its clients
- Prepare and review eligibility determinations to ensure accurate and timely identification of
newly eligible employees
- Process and review automatic enrollment to ensure accurate and timely identification of newly eligible employees
- Process and review source level eligibility to ensure accurate and timely identification of newly
eligible employees
- Update PlanConnect and Relius as needed based on eligibility and automatic enrollment review
- Prepare and deliver enrollment kits at least 30 days prior to plan entry to eligible participants
- Prepare mapping
notices that accurately reflect mapping instructions and deliver 30 days prior to all eligible participants
- Prepare annual notices that accurately reflect plan specifications, investments and fees and deliver on an annual basis
- Print and
mail other plan communications as requested by other departments
- Provide timely notification to plan sponsors of newly eligible participants, source level eligibility, and automatic enrollment
- Determine participants eligible for forceout,
distribute distribution paperwork, and track sponsor approval
- Determine participants eligible for loan default, distribute distribution paperwork, and track sponsor approval
- Determine participants eligible for RMDs, distribute participant
notification, and track sponsor approval
- Answer questions posed by Customer Service Representatives related to enrollment kits and other notices
- Develop new reporting capabilities for internal use and to promote integrations with 3rd
parties
- Deliver quarterly participant statements

Required experience - 2 years in retirement industry
