Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, one of Michigan’s largest and most progressive law firms, is looking for an associate attorney to join its employee benefits practice. The ideal candidate will have 1 - 6 years of relevant transactional experience with ERISA, preferably with qualified retirement plans. Experience with non-qualified deferred compensation plans and executive compensation would be a plus. Responsibilities will include drafting plan documents and employee communications, overseeing plan governance and compliance, counseling clients on fiduciary responsibilities and negotiating agreements with third-party administrators, providers, and vendors. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, demonstrate strong writing and communication skills, and be licensed (or willing and able to become licensed) and in good standing to practice law in the state of Michigan.
