We are looking for a Retirement Plan Consultant to join our team. We prefer a candidate who will have at least 2 years experience as a retirement plan consultant. 

What we are looking for in a successful candidate:

  • A minimum of 2 years in retirement plan administration or very something similar
  • Prior experience with Excel
  • Organized and good task deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Good with numbers
  • Honesty and Integrity
  • Prefer someone who lives or will be living in greater Portland OR area

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide core aspects of defined contribution (DC) plan administration for a significant case load. This would include collecting year-end information, data processing, and asset reconciliation/trust accounting.
  • A working knowledge of recordkeeping platforms’ workflows, policies and procedures in order to maintain efficient and accurate plan administration
  • Communicate with Clients and Advisors
  • Develop and maintain professional and technical knowledge by taking self-study exams, attending educational workshops and industry seminars, reviewing professional publications, and building a professional network;

Requirements for the role:

  • Experience as a retirement plan consultant or similar for a TPA
  • Experiene with ASC system and PensionPro preferred, but not required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, results oriented, team environment
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize among multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, follow-through on requests until completion, and perform work with a keen attention to detail
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat; as well as, a willingness and ability to learn other technology platforms quickly
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required
  • Commitment to the profession

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation for this role includes a competitive wage commensurate with experience in addition to potential performance-based bonuses. Benefits include health and dental insurance; 401(k) with safe harbor match; 3 weeks of paid time off; paid holidays; and future reimbursement for continuing education and professional memberships.
