Job Description

July Business Services is a national retirement plan services firm that helps small and mid-size employers and their investment advisor set up and operate 401(k)s and other types of retirement plans.  We combine innovation and technology with hands-on service to make retirement plans easy for our clients.  We have an entrepreneurial and employee-friendly culture and emphasize core values of wow! service, having a servant’s heart, and innovation.  

We are seeking individuals that will work Pacific Time Zone hours and who are fluent in Spanish and English for a work-from-home position as Participant Service Associate. This person will be part of a team that provides telephone and chat support from 401(k) plan account holders to assist with questions about their retirement plan. 

The position is a great way to get started in a growing financial services industry and to build a career specializing in 401(k) and retirement plans.  The individual will gain the training and knowledge needed to get started and have an opportunity to earn industry certifications that will help with future career development.

Primary Job Objectives

  • Assist our Spanish and English speaking plan participants with 401(k) enrollment and support
  • Successfully respond to incoming phone calls, chat requests, and emails
  • Collaborate with team members to research and resolve issues
  • Assist with retirement plan withdrawal and loan requests

Other Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to improve departmental processes
  • Support other JULY employees and departments by requesting client information
  • Help meet individual, departmental, and company key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Participate in 401(k) training to gain industry knowledge and certifications
  • Use Zoom and Microsoft Teams for video conferencing with team members

Skills / Experience / Credentials

  • Fluent in Spanish and English is a key requirement
  • 2+ years of customer service or retirement plan experience
  • Strong written and verbal customer service skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to follow tasks to completion
  • Desire and willingness to serve clients and be empathetic to their needs
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
